About Our Practice

Our PracticE

Welcome to Eye Care Studio, where your vision meets our unwavering dedication.

Opening in 2025, Eye Care Studio was created with a simple but powerful goal: to provide comprehensive, personalized eye care in a setting that feels less like a clinic and more like a community. Whether you’re here for a routine exam, advanced vision correction, or stylish new frames, we’re here to help you see clearly and feel confident.

Our motto, “Your eyes. Our passion,” isn’t just a tagline—it’s the heart of everything we do. Your eyes are how you experience the world, and we believe they deserve the highest level of care. To us, passion means going beyond the basics: staying ahead of technology, listening closely to your needs, and treating every patient like family.

At Eye Care Studio, we combine clinical expertise with genuine care to create a better kind of eye care experience—one that puts you first.

Dr. Alison Harapiak

Originally from Manitoba, Dr. Harapiak earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba before heading to Chicago, where she completed her Doctor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry. Her clinical training took her from the fast-paced hospitals of urban Chicago to leading-edge surgical co-management clinics in Florida, honing her expertise in pediatric vision care, low vision therapy, and specialty contact lenses for both medical and cosmetic needs.

Driven by a passion for service that extends beyond borders, Dr. Harapiak has participated in multiple international volunteer missions, providing vision care and eyewear to underserved communities around the world. At home, she’s been a recognized leader in her field, including serving as President of the Calgary Society of Optometrists.

Her personal journey also fuels her compassion. As a mother, Dr.Harapiak brings a deep understanding and empathy to families navigating diverse developmental and sensory needs. This perspective enriches her approach to patient care, ensuring every individual feels seen, heard, and supported. Her long-term interest in kids and adults of all ages with both physical and mental developmental delays rounds out her practice and her passion.

Outside the exam room, Dr. Harapiak leads a life full of energy and purpose—whether she’s at the gym, doing yoga, or chasing her kids around - through it all, she finds balance in movement, meaning in connection, and joy in time spent with her family.

Dr. Dale Anderson

Born in Calgary and raised in Strathmore, Dr. Anderson’s journey to optometry wasn’t exactly typical. Before stepping into the exam room, he was on the baseball diamond — earning a scholarship to the College of Southern Idaho and Seton Hall University and getting drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 2009 MLB draft.

After trading baseballs for eye charts, he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. His clinical training took him across North America, from urban centres like Boston and Edmonton to diverse patient populations, where he developed expertise in ocular disease, pediatrics, specialty contact lenses, low vision, and vision therapy.

Dr. Anderson returned to Alberta in 2017 and has been practicing in the Calgary area ever since. He’s known for combining clinical precision with a relaxed, approachable style. Several times a year, you’ll also find him heading north — delivering vital eye care to remote communities across northern Alberta.

When he’s not helping patients see more clearly, Dr. Anderson is out living the Alberta lifestyle: hiking rugged trails, casting lines in mountain streams, and spending time with his wife Megan.
